Haven’t stayed at the Ritz Carlton Kyoto but Park Hyatt Kyoto is my favorite hotel in the world.
I got a little turned off by Marriott after our stay at the St. Regis Osaka last spring.
I think if you stayed 2 nights at Park Hyatt you would wish you’d stayed all 3.
Plus, moving hotels is a pain.
If there’s availability for your dates, definitely book it.
We stayed 2 nights in May when I was Hyatt Explorist and it was the only truly flawless hotel stay I’ve ever had.
Just went back the week before last for 4 nights and it still didn’t feel like enough.
This time I was a Hyatt Globalist so got breakfast every day and it was fantastic.
I pretty much wish I could just move in and make sure to build in time to enjoy the spa / onsen facilities.
