When choosing my travel backpack, I first checked the measurements for personal item and carry-on sizes and then shopped accordingly to find a suitable bag.
I found my backpack at a surplus store, and it fits the personal item size perfectly.
Additionally, I use a crossbody bag to carry bulky items, and so far, it hasn’t been counted as a separate personal item.
