    Hope for a yes, but be prepared for a no.

    You agreed to the terms, and you missed them.

    That’s your responsibility, not theirs.

    I’ve never heard of AMEX extending the deadline for spending, though I did recently hear about another bank extending someone’s deadline because of special circumstances.
