It took me approximately 2 hours to clear immigration during May of this year from IAH to CDG to VCE.
CDG was packed!!!
That was with no delays with disembarking the plane and the plane heading to a gate.
A lounge stay would be more reasonable versus leaving the airport and coming back in.
