Is 45 Minutes Enough Time To Connect At Dulles IAD?
I have a 45 minute layover connection from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport to Washington Dulles Airpot on Delta.
What is the likelihood I will make my layover flight to Washington Dulles International Airport?
Are Delta flights on the same terminal side?
I will have 2 checked bags, and I would assume they will make the connection considering Delta sold the flight with a short layover.
Will my bags make it to Washington Dulles International Airport with me?
Should I buy trip insurance in case the Delta flight to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is delayed, and I miss my connection or they lose my bags?
This is my first time flying with less than a 1.5 hour layover, so I’m a bit nervous, but it was the best price.

As long as no unexpected events occur on your travel day, you should be fine.
I regularly fly into Atlanta International Airport with 20-30 minute layovers, and airlines typically provide a buffer for such situations.
The one time my luggage didn’t arrive with me, Delta resolved the issue.
Therefore, I believe you’ll be alright.
Just remember there won’t be time for lounging or extended bathroom breaks, but it’s definitely manageable.
