Can You Get An Extension On AMEX Signup Bonus Points?
UPDATE – They gave me the points! I spent the rest of the amount before the end of the billing cycle.
Today, I checked my account, and since the new billing cycle started, I had 90,000 points!
Has anyone had any luck getting an extension on AMEX signup bonus points?
We have 3 different AMEX cards, and I got a Gold Business AMEX with 90,000 points after spending $10,000 in 3 months.
My 3 months were up on December 3rd, and I was just short of the required spend.
They are refusing to give any sort of extension and basically told me I’m out of luck.
Any ideas?
If not, they have lost my business.
Any other suggestions for a business card with a bonus?

Your only real option is to call and ask again.
Hope for a yes, but be prepared for a no.
You agreed to the terms, and you missed them.
That’s your responsibility, not theirs.
I’ve never heard of AMEX extending the deadline for spending, though I did recently hear about another bank extending someone’s deadline because of special circumstances.

Why did they stop being your customer?
You didn’t follow the rules for their generous sign-up bonus.
