If I Pay Off My Chase Card Early, Do I Still Receive Sign Up Bonus?
Just got approved by Chase Ink Preferred.
However, they limited me to $5,000 max (tried to get it raised but no luck).
Ironically, the spend is $8,000 and I was ready to use it for a big purchase.
So, can I spend $5,000 and pay it off within a few days and make a second payment for the remainder?
Would Chase have an issue if the business doesn’t mind splitting the payments?

Yes, you can pay it off as soon as it posts.
They’ll take your money any time.

I have done it to meet an INK sign up bonus but try to avoid it.
The alternative is to try to move credit from another Chase Business card

I tried to cycle like this last month.
It didn’t work.
That is, they surely took my money and credited the payment.
But they didn’t reset my credit limit

Everyone is going to start crying this is cycling but my personal experience of about 6 figures spending a month on Chase says they don’t care.
I pay my cards at a minimum weekly and sometimes even twice a week if I have a big bill.
These are business cards and my Business relations manager told me they don’t care.

If you have other business cards with Chase, just move some credit from other cards you’re not using over to your new INK.

I’ve done it quite a few times, but have the same concern.
They only gave me $3K limit a few years ago and that’s still all I have.
I’d ask for a higher limit, but I’m at 5/24 and don’t want them to review and call the whole relationship into question.

Red flag if you recycle credit at least for personal cards.

Do you have a different INK?
If so, you can ask that the limit of the other INK be added to your new one.
You can do what you mentioned.
But if done too often, your account can fall under question.
So be careful.
Once shouldn’t be too terrible.
