Here is the link to get the visa in advance.

    Get it in advance.

I breezed through immigration in September on a tip to apply for the visa in advance.

In Bali last week there was a separate queue at the airport to get the Visa once we arrived.

We got ours there at about 8:00am.

If you plan to arrive when the airport is busy, get it online.

I have a cruise coming up going there, I called the cruise company they said I needed it before leaving USA.

It was 500,000 Indonesian Rupiah or $35.00 USD.

Was easy to do and received the tourist visa within minutes.

    Hope this helps.

Went last year, so things may have changed, but visa was given on arrival.

The confusion or conflicting information arose from differing terminology used for entry requirements – “Visa-free” vs. “Visa Required” vs. “Visa on arrival”.

    • “Visa-free” indicates one can enter with just a valid passport, without obtaining a travel visa first.

    • “Visa required” denotes a visa application must be submitted prior to traveling to the destination country.

    • “Visa on arrival” – for US citizens, securing a Visa on arrival must be obtained upon arrival to Bali but can be secured online.
