Do I Earn Credit Card Points If I Pay With PayPal?
I recently learned that sending money via Venmo using Amex Send isn’t worth it because you don’t earn any rewards/miles with that type of spend.
Is it the same thing when using Capital One and PayPal?
I have a subcontractor who says he can take credit card payments via PayPal but I believe I won’t earn my sign up bonus or any rewards with a “person to person” transaction.
I know Amex won’t allow it so wondering where Capital One stands on this too?

Yes, I get points on purchases made on PayPal and charged to my Capital One Venture card.

Yes, you shouldn’t have an issue earning miles or completing your sign up bonus if you use Paypal.
Venmo is different because it is kind of a cash advance.
