• Does Vacasa Have A Price Limit When Using Points?

Posted by Uriah on October 27, 2023 at 12:38 pm

I have a question about booking with Vacasa.

I am eyeing a house in Hawaii that is listed as 3 bedroom and a 4th “sleeping quarter” with multiple beds.

6 nights for 10 people including kids.

However, it is listed at an average price of 2000$/day.

I am aware of the unwritten rule that points have a $500/ bedroom/day limit.

Has anyone been able to book at a higher rate than that?

I just spoke with Vacasa about this.

The grand total (after taxes and cleaning fees) cannot exceed $500 per bedroom per day.

I was looking at a place that exceeded $500 per day and they wouldn’t even check availability.

Added one day and it brought the average under $500/day and it was not a problem to book.

My experience was the condo wasn’t available when the total, including fees and taxes, was over $500 a night, per bedroom.

The agent didn’t tell me that or confirm there was a dollar amount.

She just said it’s not available with points.

I believe the $500 limit excludes taxes and fees.

It’s worth calling Vacasa to check.

Tell them you plan to book with points and want to know availabilities on specific dates before transferring.

$500 per room per night including all fees and taxes so a max price of $1500 per night for a 3 bedroom.

Don’t think you will be able to book.

The total INCLUDING taxes/fees had to be under $500/day when I tried to book multiple times.

It wasn’t a hard rule as I’ve found some that were just over $500/day that were bookable, but any that were a few hundred plus over did not work for me.
