What’s Fastest Way To Get Alaska Elite Qualifying Miles?
I have MVP elite status on Alaska, and it expires on 12/31/23.
I would like to keep my Alaska Air elite status for next year.
I am currently 2,257 EQM miles short of my retaining MVP, and have no travel plans at the moment–certainly none that would result in that many miles.
I can buy the miles I need for $500, but I’m wondering if anyone has a hack that they’ve used to add some Alaska miles quickly.
Does the Alaska Credit Card earn EQM?
Any advice is appreciated!

Really your only options are:
1. Mileage Run (some first class fares get extra elite miles)
2. Buy The Miles – (SAF would cost you $500)
3. Alaska Credit Card Spend (but $10,000 would only get you 2K elite miles and you had to register for it ahead)
4. Hope for a promotion in the new year that will allow you to keep your previous status for flying x miles

You didn’t hear this from me, but if you buy something on a credit card and get the points, you can then return it and request the refund go back on a different card.
At least when I return things at Costco I’m given this option, even though I don’t bother to take it.

Spend on a credit card would not help achieve Alaska status in this case.
