I plan to cancel my Chase Sapphire Reserve when the annual fee appears in my account.
Could someone please confirm whether the $300 travel credit renews upon the card anniversary or per calendar year?
I would like to maximize its benefits before closing the card.

However, for later acquisitions, it operates on an anniversary year basis.
