How Long Does American Airlines Platinum Status Last?
Because I’m a Hyatt Globalist, I was temporarily upgraded to AA Platinum Pro status like so many others.
If I book a flight during the next 4 months and I’m able to pick an upgraded seat, will I be able to keep that seat if the flight leaves in 6 months which is after my status expires?
Or will they just put me in a regular economy seat?

No, the upgrade list is in order by status (ie. Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, Gold).
If you don’t have status at the time of your flight, I wouldn’t expect it especially if you won’t at least be Platinum or Platinum Pro at the time.

If you mean an upgraded seat in the same cabin, then as long as you don’t make any changes to the ticket, nobody is going to change your seat.
