How Long For Points Refund On LifeMiles & Virgin Atlantic?
Hi all, if I cancel a points booking flight with either Virgin Atlantic or Avianca Lifemiles, how long would it take to get my points re-deposited back into my account?
I’m wondering if I should book a second-choice flight for the time being and then if I see a better flight pop up in the T-21 timeframe, I can cancel and then immediately (within 5 minutes) rebook.
The timeframe that I get the points back is pretty sensitive as I think the seat would get nabbed fairly quickly.

When I canceled my Virgin Atlantic Award, it was an instant refund of the points.
The taxes and fees took about a week or so.
