• How To Get Turkish Airlines Seat Assignment Using Aeroplan?

Posted by Robert on April 26, 2024 at 5:54 pm

Does anyone know how to choose seats for economy class on Turkish Airlines when using a non-Turkish award ticket booked on Air Canada Aeroplan miles?

I have the booking reference number (PNR) from Air Canada Aeroplan and I’ve found that you can select seats using the app for Turkish business class tickets, but it appears that this option isn’t available for Turkish economy class.

Also, if you call Turkish Airlines, they redirect you to Air Canada Aeroplan, which is incorrect.

To clarify, this is specifically for an economy class ticket booked on Turkish Airlines using Aeroplan points.

All the advice about using the Turkish Airlines PNR on the app applies only to business class tickets.

What I had to do was call Aeroplan after Turkish told me they could not confirm my seats because Aeroplan did not send my email on the booking.

When I called Aeroplan and told them this, the agent said ok and then she sent that info to them through some system and then was able to select my seats for me while on the phone.

It was surprisingly quick and easy!

Have you tried entering the booking reference on SAS’s website (I know it sounds weird) and choosing from the seats that are available for free in economy?

You can find them by making a fake booking directly with Turkish Airlines.

In business class, you can choose your seat for free, but in economy class, you have to pay for seat selection.

If someone else booked your ticket, they should be the ones charging for seat selection, so if it’s possible, it should be done through the airline company.
