• How To Pick Seats On Air China?

Posted by Mike on December 2, 2023 at 9:34 am

Simple question, who here has flown Air China?

I am from the US and flying to Zhengzhou (CGO) on January 30.

I booked through Expedia because I found a great deal that was cheaper than anywhere else I looked, so I just snatched it.

The problem is that I have to make an Air China account to be able to select my seats.

My concern is that they seem to need a large amount of info to make an account to be able to do so, and given the identity theft issues from China, I am hesitant to give so much info just for an Air China seat selection.

I’m very excited to go to China, but that is a large concern of mine, even though I’m not of the mind that China is any sort of enemy or anything like some people have suggested.

I genuinely am concerned about my personal information.

My question is has anyone made an account to fly with Air China and booked seats through them?

Is there any easier way to get Air China seat assignment?

I flew on Air China from SFO to PEK.

Survived 12 hours in a middle seat.

Besides the food being terrible, everything else was fine.

    Bring snacks!

    I arrived STARVING lol

I’ve flown Air China many times.

Frankly, with the security in China, they literally track your every movement so I don’t think there’s much you can do!

Once they have your passport it’s a done deal.

I love China with all my heart but it is what it is!

    I’ve never noticed any repercussions!

We just flew Air China 2 weeks ago, and uploaded everything.

I agree, they ask a lot, but that is typical for China.

BTW, they lost 4 of our bags, but returned them 4 days later.

    It was an inconvenience though!
