If it’s an international business class (United combines business and first into one class, Polaris) then you have lay-flat seats.

Domestic usually isn’t lay-flat. Check your flight itinerary again and you should be able to find out what your seat is.

The United website also has a section describing the seats.

    It’s Polaris business class.

All United flights to Australia are lie flat.

I’d almost go as far as saying every mainland US flight to Australia would be lie flat in business class!

    Does it indicate “mixed cabin”?

That usually means at least one leg is in Economy (at least when I book an award ticket on United).

If you use Google Flights to look up that leg, it shows it has a lie-flat seat.

Use SeatMaps put in carrier and flight number and it will show Air Canada type and seating configuration

    That’s a 777 with Polaris lie-flat seats.

You can check on Aerolopa to see seat maps.
