Can I Use Ultimate Rewards To Upgrade Delta Flights?
I have a lot of Chase Ultimate Rewards points but they don’t transfer to Delta Airlines directly.
I already purchased 2 round trips from Boston to Athens on Delta.
I’m in a Premium Economy seat already, but looking for an effective way to get Delta One at least on the return leg.
I’m a SkyMiles member with the Delta SkyMiles Reserve AMEX.
Is there any way I can use my Ultimate Rewards Points to upgrade Delta flights?
My goal is to use these UR points to upgrade to Delta One seats ideally.
If not I can save my Chase points for my next international trip.

No you can’t upgrade Delta flights with Ultimate Rewards points.
This is why it’s important to be diversified with points.
I know Delta points are not as valuable as URs but when the time and place comes and you need them, it’s best to have them already there.

You’re better off finding Delta One Awards available through programs like Flying Blue or Virgin Atlantic.

Ultimate Rewards can be transferred to Flying Blue or Virgin Atlantic which has Delta flights.
You can’t use UR to upgrade Delta flights though.
