If I Close My Barclays AA Aviator Card, Can I Reapply For Bonus?
For my Barclays AA Aviator Red Card, do I need to cancel my current Aviator Mastercard or downgrade to another product before I apply for a new one for a sign up bonus?
I would prefer not to cancel, as the card has been open for 5+ years.
All of my other travel cards are much newer.

I have reached out to Barclays to product change to a no-annual fee card and they said no.
They typically do give retention offers to cover the annual fee.

P1 & P2 have downgraded to the Barclays AA Aviator WITHOUT the RED.
It is a no annual fee and the points I think are only 0.5/$1.
We both did the retention script and were transferred to the Supervisor, we both said we wanted to do a product change to the Barclays Aviator without the RED and they agreed.
Our annual fee was reimbursed, and then we had a new card in the mail with the same number and no longer said RED.
