If I Upgrade My Credit Card Am I Eligible For Sign Up Bonus?
Credit card upgrade question:
I just upgraded to the Platinum Citi AA card.
Am I eligible for the 50,000 sign-up bonus promotion at $2,500 spent in 3 months?
In other words, if I upgrade my credit card, am I eligible for sign up bonus?
My experience tells me no, but are there any hacks to become eligible?

Nope.
If you upgrade your credit card, then you are not eligible for the signup bonus unless they offer you points to upgrade.
Typically only AMEX does this and they will explicitly tell you.

Never upgrade unless you are ineligible for the signup bonus anyway.
Upgrade kills your eligibility for the sign up bonus.
