    Honestly, it depends.

I think Hilton is WAY more rewarding for spend and points acquisition (better bonuses, even accounting for Marriott points going further), given that their Free Night Certificate isn’t capped and you can get one either with a card (Aspire) or with 15k spend (Surpass or Hilton Business).

Also Hilton is the best of all of them because of always running a promo.

Also the synergy of the Hilton Aspire/Surpass credit card is better than Brilliant or their $95 cards (unless you have the Ritz).

So I think it depends, if you can REALLY stack a lot of OPM on that card I would go with Hilton, if you’re more looking for best treatment while on the road and you can hit Titanium or Ambassador I would lean Marriott…

I think the benefits for higher end status are better for Marriott and they have more aspirational properties (Hilton is catching up not not there yet).

This is opinionated from me but I travel 110-130 nights a year in a hotel for work.

I’ve tried all of them and under my experiences, Marriott has been significantly better.

The quality, ease of the app, and better points for the $ spent.

Marriott points also transfer to airlines (bad redemption but good if you need to top off)

Hilton was not bad, just never felt like the hotels were as nice for the $ compared to Marriott.

A big difference is that with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, you get guaranteed 4pm checkout (except at convention center properties and resorts) whereas Hilton offers no late checkout guarantee at all for top tier Diamond.

Hyatt is definitely the best top tier elite program, but not very useful if there aren’t Hyatts where you go )

Hilton always is so nice to us at check-in and we get free water as a basic gold member.

As basic Marriott members, we get nothing and frankly, the check-in people are never super lovely.

We are basic members and only deal with this level.

Also, in Germany, we got upgraded to a big suite and got a concierge with a Hilton.

I’m a road warrior with status in Hyatt and Marriott…

Hyatt is amazing and the points are valuable, but the footprint is not great.

I’ve grinded it out at highway Hyatt Places to get globalist while my colleagues enjoy a full-service downtown Marriott.

If Hyatt’s footprint doesn’t work, Marriott is great solely because there is brand consistency and a huge footprint.

Despite all the complaints about Bonvoy, there are good redemptions possible (I spent 22k points on a 450 dollar hotel recently).

I’ve never met a Hilton Diamond who has seemed super happy.

With both Hilton and Marriott, you can get top-tier Diamond (HH) and almost top-tier platinum (Marriott) simply by holding a specific credit card.

Good way to experience top status at both and make a decision after a year of traveling

I have both but if I had to pick one, it would be Marriott.

Hyatt has had THE best redemptions for me hands down.

Like it hasn’t even come close but as you stated though the footprint is much smaller as compared to Hilton and Marriott.

If you’re a road warrior I typically recommend Marriott as the main choice simply because they are everywhere.

Hilton has a large footprint but it’s not like Marriott the way I see it.

If you travel enough you most likely could go after both, one on spend and one on travel.

Which ever program you choose, make sure you get their branded credit card.

Hopefully, your work allows you to book it on your card and get reimbursed.
