Is Delta Silver Medallion Elite Status worth trying to earn?
I’m so close to getting it (just 650 MQM) and want to know if it is worth going for and what benefits I can expect.
Would love to hear from real people on their experience, especially in regardless to getting free upgrades.

Honestly, I have it and I haven’t noticed any benefit.
I am working towards Gold but wondering what I will see?
Really, other than boarding earlier I see no benefit.

The notable perk is choosing preferred seating and exit row for free.

Most of the perks of Silver status come with the AmEx Delta Gold card, which is only $95 Annual Fee.
So it probably isn’t worth trying to earn Silver Medallion Status.
That being said, 650 MQM is almost nothing, so, while I wouldn’t do a miles run specifically to hit status, I might use this as an excuse to take a cheap weekend trip somewhere before the end of the year.

Silver is useful especially when you travel internationally.
It allows you to check luggage that is heavier than normal.
70lbs vs 50lbs on certain routes.
It does boost you above the plebes who do not have status on upgrades.
It also gets you a discount on Clear, I think.
Can be useful for status match opportunities.

I was too embarrassed to attach them.
