Norse is the re-brand of Norwegian Airlines.

They charge you for everything but the most important thing is that they fly 787 planes, which are actually quite nice.

I have flown Norwegian many times and it was the same as flying United, AA, or Delta, if not better.

It is cheap because you need to pay for carry on baggage, seat selection, food on board.

Add all the normal stuff and it is like $200 more per ticket.

Still cheaper than the others, but now about 25% less as opposed to 50% less

I got a really cheap fare in a flash sale and treated myself to a cabin bag (the rucksack under the seat was free).

At the airport (LGW) everyone with any sort of luggage, has to check in, so the queues are long and slow.

Don’t roll up thinking you can just walk to the gate.

You check in with hand luggage, so that they can weigh it and then charge you more when you’re over.

There were a lot of people emptying hand luggage cases at the side of the check-in desks and putting all sorts in their pockets and handbags etc.

Once on board, if you can resist $$ for a microwaved meal for one and you can survive 8 hours on the snacks you purchased at the airport instead, you’ll be fine.

For the price, that is a steal.

Honestly after flying Norse and also flying International Basic Economy on United and AA, I have concluded that Norse is actually a better experience.

I would rather take the cheaper airline with the nicer newer planes than AA or United.
