Is WestJet A Better Airline Than Air Canada?
Has anyone flown WestJet before?
I’m from the US and haven’t heard of WestJet before.
I’ve only flown Air Canada flying to Vancouver once.
Air Canada wasn’t bad, but wondering if WestJet is better than Air Canada or if is it like the Canadian version of Spirit Airlines?
If you have flown both and had to pick WestJet vs Air Canada, which one is better?
I’m looking at booking with Flying Blue points for a one-way YYZ-MCO next July if that makes any difference.

In my opinion, West Jet is the best airline in Canada.
Flown both Air Canada and West Jet many times and West Jet doesn’t disappoint.

I would choose WestJet or Porter over Air Canada any day.

WestJet is solid.
Arguably better than any American airline.

I booked WestJet through Delta and it was great.
Only issue was I had to pay the bag fee.

Pretty much the same as Air Canada…sometimes awesome, sometimes not.
They used to be super hilarious and fun…then they grew up to be a more boring version of themselves…but are generally wonderful.

WestJet is a good airline.
Flew my family of 4 to Maui with points in May, and use the companion voucher all the time.
Always have had comfortable flights.
Always had funny and entertaining flight attendants.

WestJet is a good airline, just make sure to download their app before the flight.
Their in-flight entertainment is through their app.

I love Westjet and chose to get their WestJet MasterCard with RBC, it doesn’t get the best possible points earned but instead of some confusing points I earn straight up Westjet dollars that I can easily view on their app.
I’ve overall had great experiences with Westjet and hope they continue to expand as their overall service and scheduling is much better than Air Canada.
Also, check Porter Airlines they seem to be making big moves to expand to Western Canada and could be a potential for connecting flights
