No buy directly from the phone carrier as they have longer and cheaper plans airalo is expensive vs the other esim company ESIM plus but go with Orange Telecom.

Around 8 euros a month for 5-10 gb data across EU.

I recall reading or hearing that someone program provided similar cards for the students. If not get one locally.

If not price out local plans here.

I just asked my daughter who studied in Spain last year and she recommends the 10€ Vodafone prepay.

Can get it from any store once you land.

Another option would be to get a Google Fi account.

For that length of time will likely be better to buy directly in Spain.

I haven’t bought one in Spain but did so in Italy and it was super easy.

Agree that Google Fi could be good as well but they do have limits on how long you can be out of the country before you have issues, Google Fi international benefits are meant for travel but not extended living abroad

Long-term international travelers know that T Mobile or Google Fi are your picks for the best price and coverage.

    No sims necessary.

    You are very welcome.

Everyone in Europe uses WhatsApp so voice / sms isn’t really needed.

I used Airalo and it was awesome.

Otherwise tell your daughter to get a local sim card once she arrives.
