Just returned from Niseko and it was awesome.

I’d recommend taking the ski shuttle bus from Sapporo Airport.

Tons of snow and the village is great but make sure you stay in Grand Hirafu Village because that is where all the restaurants are.

We stayed at Woody Note Pension but there are tons of other nice hotel options that are ski in / ski out.

While in Sapporo, don’t miss out on trying out a Miso ramen in Ramen Street.

    And go for Sapporo Classic.

This beer is only available in Hokkaido and it actually tastes good versus the regular Sapporo beer.

The Sapporo Snow Festival runs from 4th-12th Feb and is an amazing experience.

I’d be booking ASAP as most affordable places are booked out.

Niseko is wonderful but there is a limited range of affordable accommodation, however, there is a plethora of high-end locations if budget isn’t an issue!

Also book your restaurants/rentals/lessons and ski tickets well ahead of time to save money and disappointment on missing out.

Feel free to DM me if you need, I used to live there and am always happy to help people out with recommendations!

    I’d recommend visiting Otaru.

It is really lovely and just an hour or so away from Sapporo via train.
