What’s Best Use Of Hotel Points In Las Vegas?
Posted by Khalid on September 30, 2023 at 11:19 amWhat is best use of hotel points in Las Vegas?
We’ve got a stopover in Vegas this upcoming summer and looking for the best points / cash deal for a one-night stay.
We’ve got plenty of points across several programs but I’d rather just pay cash If I have benefits through my MGM Gold and Caesars Diamond.
I found a $33 room at Excalibur, is that my best bet?
Open to any hotel recommendations to use my points at in Las Vegas.

Oh god no!
Do NOT stay at Excalibur.
It was good for remote mattress running (but not anymore).
It is disgusting.
Go on YouTube and watch some reviews.
Park MGM was nice.

I’ve stayed at every property in Las Vegas:
Caesars properties are generally in need of a big upgrade and now they are even charging pool fees so hard pass.
MID-PRICE (big differences in 5 star & 4 star & 3 star)
Both Park MGM or MGM are great!
I would definitely lean towards MGM simply based on the pool complex, which is immense and far more entertaining than the sedated park MGM crowd.
You’ll be right across the street from the roller coaster and games at New York, New York and all the games at Excalibur.
The kids will love the medieval show at Excalibur too.

Check out the Signature Las Vegas.
It’s part of MGM.
Awesome with a couple of kids.
Comes with a kitchenette.

Stay in old Vegas!
With that being said, points “generally” aren’t good value in Vegas.
Anyone can stay on the strip.
Be cool and stay in old Vegas.

Stayed at Excalibur a couple of times in the past few years.
Full of not high rollers that were likely high.
BUT if you just want a reasonable room to crash in, then it is fine.
Before you go check out OmegaMart. (“You have no idea what’s in store for you”)

No, don’t do that lol.
Excalibur sucks.
There is a reason why it is $33.
Are you searching while signed into your MGM or Caesars account?

Just a reminder, the base price is not the final price.
All Las Vegas hotels have resort fees that will likely double any low rate you find.
