What To Do During 12 Hour Layover In Brussels?

Any suggestions for activities I might be able to do?

At 12 hours you can even hit Ghent or Brugge if you truly want to.
Their public transportation is one of the best around.
Otherwise, if that is too stressful their historic center is nice but that’s about it for Brussels IMO.
Get some drinks and fries.

How much do you like waffles?
Do you like good beer?
Delirium Beer Cafe is an option for some good craft beer and food.

I just spent three days in Brussels in October.
This is a GREAT city for your 12 hours.
Easy train into the center city and the city core is compact and easily walkable.
Wander around the Grand Place – it’s Christmas Market season which will be pretty festive, especially after the sun goes down.
Eat chocolate, waffles, and fries and like a previous poster said Delirium Cafe is amazing if you’re a beer drinker.
Check out the touristy but cute Manneken Pis statue and duck into Poechenellekelder pub across the street.
Have fun!!!

The historic city center.
They also have great fries everywhere with mayo.
