If you have an iPhone, then Flighty.

It is free or $49 for the Pro version.

I just use the airline’s provided mobile app.

That is free and has most up-to-date info.

Depends if you have an Android or iPhone.

For iPhone, Flighty is the best flight tracking app.

    For Android, I like FlightView.

TripIt and FlightAware are both good.

I guess you want a flight tracking app for traveling.

If you are just plane spotting, then ADS-B is awesome.

I use a combo of Flighty and the airline’s app.

I used to have TripIt Pro but Concur bought them and has put no additional work behind it so TripIt kind of sucks now.

I use Flight Compass, it shows you the landmarks you are flying over in real time and keeps track of the countries you are flying over too. It’s got an Android and iPhone app:

Most airlines offer real-time updates and notifications about delays.
