I’d recommend getting business credit cards that offer bonus points in specific spending categories and allow you to redeem those points for business or first-class flights.

This way, you can enjoy lounge access and other perks without using airline cards, which often don’t earn as many points.

Consider cards like the Amex Business Gold, Amex Blue Business Plus, Chase Ink Cash, or Chase Ink Preferred.

If you don’t travel often, it might be better for you to stay independent and use other credit cards with better rewards that you can transfer to get what you want.

I say this as someone who has American Airlines status.

Each option has its pros and cons.

If you have lots of business spend, I’d recommend using an INK card and just rack up points.

You can then just use those miles to fly business class on any airline.

    That is what I do.

I earn around 300k Ultimate Rewards a year.

No sense in staying loyal to any specific airline.
