We’re heading to Bologna, and I’ve set up a tour to Parma to see how they make Parmesan cheese, then we’ll visit two places in Modena to see how balsamic vinegar is made.
Finally, we’ll check out where they cure Parma hams.
This will be a day trip from Bologna.
We’ll be there at the end of April, spending the 22nd to the 24th in Florence, then the 24th to the 27th in Bologna.
After that, we have to rush, but we’ll make a lunch stop in Orvieto, which is about halfway between Bologna and Rome.
If you haven’t been to Orvieto, I highly recommend it.
