So, none of those things you mentioned are really close to any of the hotels I’d suggest.

The Hyatt Regency Chicago is a good choice because it’s within walking distance of Maggie Daley Park and Millennium Park, which we really like. Also, the Chciago Art Institute is world class art museum has a free Ryan Learning Center where they have some toys and a simple art project, depending on what your kid likes.

If you’re up for spending a few more points, you can get a Club Access room at the Hyatt Regency and enjoy free breakfast (plus appetizers, which can basically serve as dinner).

Otherwise, if you’re after free breakfast, go for the Hyatt Place Chicago.

To save on parking, I’d recommend checking out spots on SpotHero or ParkWhiz near whichever hotel you choose!

Depending on where you are driving from, it might make sense to drive to Michigan City, IN, and take the South Shore train into the city.

There is good free parking, and the train tickets are cheap and easy to get.

You can then walk to your hotel and the museums without worrying about driving or parking.

This is what we normally do, and it is much easier.

Might be cheaper to get an Airbnb unless you are using Hyatt points.

As for locations, any hotel in Loop, Michigan Avenue, River North, or Gold Coast will be great.

Lincoln Park / Lakeview is more neighborhoody but also nice.

If you stay near the El train (Blue, Red, Brown lines), you will be able to get around super easy.

Otherwise super easy to walk or bus.

In Chicago, my most unforgettable experience with the Hyatt brand was at the Park Hyatt Chicago.

This hotel is not only luxurious and comfortable but also boasts an excellent location and top-notch service that left a lasting impression on me.

Firstly, the hotel’s location is unbeatable.

Situated near Chicago’s Gold Coast and the Magnificent Mile, it is close to the Michigan Avenue shopping district and the beautiful Lake Michigan.

I enjoyed morning walks along the lake and spent my evenings exploring the nearby boutiques and restaurants, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Chicago.

The hotel’s facilities are also impressive.

My room was spacious and bright, equipped with modern amenities that allowed me to fully relax after a busy day out.

The hotel’s restaurant was a highlight, serving delicious local cuisine that left me wanting more.

Additionally, the hotel offers a full-service spa and an indoor swimming pool, providing the perfect opportunity for relaxation.

What impressed me the most was the service.

From the reception staff to the restaurant servers, every employee was attentive and thoughtful, ensuring that every guest felt at home.

Moreover, the hotel’s views were stunning.

From my room’s window, I could see Chicago’s skyline and the beautiful lake, adding a spectacular backdrop to my stay.

If you are a fan of the Hyatt brand like me, the Park Hyatt Chicago is undoubtedly an excellent choice.

It offers an unparalleled luxury experience, convenient location, and exceptional service that will make your stay memorable.
