What’s Best Way To Get Around Dubai?
We’re planning a 5-day trip to Dubai and we are torn between renting a car or relying on public transportation.
We’d love to hear from those who have been there – what’s your experience?
Is the Dubai public transportation system reliable enough to get around, or is it worth it to rent a car in Dubai for more flexibility?
Any tips or insights would be much appreciated.

Rentals are cheap in Dubai.
I got a mid-size sedan for $260 for a 14-day rental last year from Hertz.
It included unlimited miles/kilometers.
You can find similar deals easily.

If you’re only staying in Dubai and not traveling elsewhere, I’d just use Uber.

Uber is relatively expensive, but if you have free parking at your hotel and can drive, I suggest renting a car.
It gives you the flexibility to visit places like Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, or other states.
