Location wise your best options are going to be Hyatt Regency Tokyo and Hyatt House Shibuya.

Both are easy to get to from Haneda via the subway.

While I haven’t stayed at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo specifically, I’ve stayed around that area a couple of times and the immediate area is more business-like and a little sleepy at night.

However, Shinjuku is only one subway stop away so it’s still super convenient.

Looked at a map and Hyatt House Shibuya looks to be very close to Shibuya station, but it’s located on the side away from most of the nightlife stuff, so a little more walking, but still looks to be a good spot.

I personally would be fine with either, but staying at Hyatt House Shibuya will save you a couple of subway rides, while staying at Hyatt Regency Tokyo will save you some walking steps.

Definitely a hard no for me though to Hyatt Regency Yokohama or Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay for just a one-night overnight stay.

I haven’t stayed at any of the Hyatts but look at the subway map and choose one that is closest to a major station or near HND.

It will be easier to get around Tokyo without making unnecessary transfers during your short stay.

I’ve stayed several times at Hyatt Regency Tokyo.

It is pretty easy to get there from Haneda.

I personally recommend the airport limousine bus because you don’t have to deal with the subways and it drops off right at the hotel.

The main area of Shinjuku is about 15-20 min walk from the hotel, or take a very short subway ride to Shinjuku station.

I was just there and stayed at the Hyatt Regency and it was nice.

Tokyo Bay is too far from HND.

I extended my stay and moved to APA Hotel Yamanote Otsuka Eki Tower.

It was nice, clean and affordable.

    Close to a station.

I would stay at those capsule hotels and save the award for when you have more time to enjoy the facility.

Otherwise mid-tier hotels are pretty cheap like $50-80 USD a night.
