Is Qatar Q Suites Or Emirates First Class Better?
Planning a trip to the Maldives next year in November 2024 around Thanksgiving.
I started searching for the flights and I really want to fly there using Qatar Qsuites but haven’t been seeing award availability recently on British Airways or Qatar.
The only available awards are the Flex rate for 170K one way.
The other option will be Emirates first class on the old 777-300 for 163,000 miles.
If I can’t find any other reasonable redemption, between the 2, which option should I choose?

The catch is it’s gonna be “163,00 miles plus a whole lotta cash for carrier surcharge”, but Emirates First Class is pretty much always better than Qatar Business as far as the experience goes.

We took the new Etihad A350 in business from ORD & really liked it.

Qatar Q Suites is great but doesn’t compare with Emirates First Class.

Do Emirates!!!
The old suites have way more room and are nicer to relax.
New suites have better technology and look and feel but are much smaller.
The service and food of Emirates are way better than Qatar.
You won’t get the shower but the bathrooms are still big.

The Emirates 777 has fewer larger first class seats than their A380.
I would take Emirates first hands down even if Qatar was less points.
We flew Emirates from Chicago to Dubai to Maldives and it was awesome.
