• Will Bank Of America Expedite Ship A New Credit Card?

Posted by Hobart on December 2, 2023 at 6:40 pm

Applied for a new Alaska Airlines Visa for P2 today, as our daughter’s college tuition is coming due.

I was planning to pay the tuition with the instant card number that was generated, but it’s not working (tried using it on our electric bill, just to check, and not working there either).

Tried calling Bank of America to request an expedited card, as the tuition is due before we’ll receive the card in snail mail.

The rep said it’s a new account, so he can’t properly authenticate my husband to expedite a card.

Already hung up and called again, and got the same response.

Do you have to wait 24 hours for their system to update, or any thoughts on how to get this expedited?

Just got approved a week ago and was told the same thing, they needed to verify my ID in order to expedite the card.

The rep told me to go to a full-service branch and do the verification there.

I made an appointment before I went so the whole process went smoothly and I was able to get the card sooner.

From when I was in school, there was no penalty for late payments for tuition within 30 days.

I think they just freeze changes made to your schedule.

You should call the school and ask.

Last year when my wife and I got the card for the 5th time there was a lot of extra verification to get the card.

Each of us had to respond to a snail mail letter and my wife had two letters.
