I’ve run into this as well for cruises, the solo traveler cost is just too high for me to justify, especially as the cruise itself often needs to be paid for with cash instead of points, unless you find a rare great deal.
I don’t have a workaround other than strong-arming someone to go with you.
If you’re gutsy you could try to go with a stranger off the many solo traveler facebook groups, but certainly, this can be very problematic for a good number of reasons.
Or you can meet your new best friend?!
Lol I’m not saying I’d recommend this necessarily, it’s just one of the few options I’ve thought of.
