We’ve done 6 Alaska cruises in the past few years and several of them have been booked on points. We’ve tried a different cruise line each time.
My favorite was definitely Norwegian Encore, which does go into Glacier Bay. It’s really all personal preference on what type of ship you enjoy but for me the newer Norwegian ships are my favorite.
The food is always amazing and the shows are outstanding.
I am in my mid-50s but I do still enjoy the race track and Laser Tag and even the galaxy pavilion. I’m always traveling with my young 20s kids and want to do all the things they like to do while I still can.
Keep in mind that the excursions and flights can be quite expensive on an Alaska cruise so if I can get the cruise fare on points I feel I can justify spending more on the other stuff.
Definitely don’t skimp on the excursions especially since Alaska might be a one-and-done and you want to see and do everything!
