Hotel Indigo Brussels – great location, cool vibe!
Basel, Switzerland:
Holiday Inn Express Basel – quiet, kinda business park, new and the breakfast spread was amazing.
Berlin:
Holiday Inn Express Alexanderplatz – good breakfast, hotel kinda tired.
Good location for us (Alexanderplatz).
Prague:
Holiday Inn in Prague – it’s pretty out of the way, and I’d rather use my Hyatt points at the Lindner near Prague Castle.
Way better value.

I chose the Venture X because my home airport has a Capital One lounge.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve offers non-lounge priority pass.
I’d take a look at what lounge options your home airport has.
The other huge factor for me is that C1 offers free authorized users priority pass.
I’m able to give my family access to an incredible lounge every time they travel, and that’s worth a lot to me.
Really hoping they don’t get rid of that perk.

I would book directly with United and pay with the Amex Platinum.
You will get Membership Rewards on your card for all the tickets and United miles for each person in their account.

I’d recommend calling AA and seeing if you can upgrade with points.

You can extend Singapore KrisFlyer miles so they don’t expire by paying a small fee.
If you transfer points in, that won’t restart the clock.
You have to use the miles.
