MemberApril 27, 2024 at 4:33 pm in reply to: Does Losing Authorized User Status Affect Credit Score?Yes, being removed as an authorized user from your longest credit card can affect your credit score.
However, the extent of the impact is uncertain and depends on your individual credit profile.
It may not affect your Experian score much, but it could impact other FICO scores.
If you have other credit cards in your name, focusing on maintaining good credit habits with those can help mitigate any potential negative effects.
If being an authorized user isn’t causing any issues, it might be best to leave it as is.

They’re the perfect size.
If you want to label them, you can, but after visiting 20 countries and 31 states, I’ve never been asked to show proof of what my medicine is.
The only time I’d be concerned is if I was traveling with liquid medicine.

I say this as someone who has American Airlines status.
Each option has its pros and cons.

We’ve used the lounge passes in Europe and Canada without any problems.
The no foreign exchange fee is really nice to have when traveling outside of Canada.

Bangkok Airways is like a boutique airline.
They fly small planes and mostly fly in Thailand to the islands like Koh Samui.
It is most similar to JSX in the US.
They have a language at BKK that all Bangkok Airways passengers can use.
I have flown them before and it was great.
Air Asia is probably cheaper but that is like flying RyanAir or Spirit.

You can also redeem Membership Rewards toward the cost if you book through Amex Travel.
It’s really not a good redemption though at only 1 CPP.

Book a short-haul ticket or take the train to any other European city, then fly “home” from there.

TPG has a good article on it.
The big lesson from a member last year who went through this is to wait to tell the credit card companies they have passed until you transfer the points somewhere.
They’re gone once you report the death from what I understand for the most part.

MemberJanuary 6, 2024 at 3:05 am in reply to: What’s Cheapest Way From Narita (NRT) To Downtown Tokyo?I was just in Tokyo so happy to answer any questions.
The cheapest option is to take the official Narita airport bus.
It is about $10 USD (1,200 Yen)
It leaves every 10 minutes, takes about 65 minutes to arrive downtown, has wifi, and drops you at Tokyo Station, where you can then connect to every train line from there.
Honestly I think the bus is a better option than the train because it is way cheaper and if you have luggage, it is also easier than lugging it on the train.

MemberJanuary 3, 2024 at 1:01 pm in reply to: What’s Best Noise Canceling Headphones For Flying?I’m a big fan of Sony Linkbuds S
No one ever mentions these.
Everyone always talks about Bose and the other, more expensive Sony options.
I have used, tried, and hated almost every other option.
I personally like to pack light and these fit the bill: excellent noise cancellation, small form factor, VERY comfortable, great price point, multi-purpose (I jog with them), and no sweaty ears (my biggest issue with the big headphone types).
Most important advice: just get what you like and meets your needs.

Verify if they are or actual hotel employees.
Not familiar with Canada, but you better file a police report.
If your stuff is stolen, how else would you document it?
