It depends on the lounge!
Sometimes.
If you are flying international you are often filtered out through passport control/customs, so you can only access an official “arrival lounge.”
In the U.S. flying domestically, I usually can get into Priority Pass lounges because a “same day boarding pass” grants access.
Also of note, Capital One Lounges for example explicitly say you can’t visit on arrival, you need an outgoing boarding pass, but the scanner doesn’t flag anything in DEN at least.
A friend and I have both had no issue going upon landing.
I assume an employee would need to catch it/no one actually cares, or it’s simply a loophole they’ll eventually close.

I travel to China annually and have used Surfshark for years without issue.
It should be noted that VPNs are illegal in China and there’s a new policy effective next month I think where they’ll be doing random searches on digital devices when entering customs/immigration.

They have placed an order for a complete fleet of new planes, but it will take some time for them to be built.
My last experience flying with them was 10 years ago, and it was already less than optimal.
Back in 2011, I flew directly from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Delhi (DEL) on American Airlines.
I’m not sure if they still operate that flight, but you might find more direct options on the East Coast.
Alternatively, there’s a great domestic carrier called IndiGo, known for newer planes, punctuality, and affordability.
They’ve recently partnered with Turkish Airlines, so you can now fly from various US departure cities (including Denver) to your final destination in India with just one ticket.
The drawback is that you’ll have to transit through Istanbul.
However, if your ultimate destination is a smaller city in India where IndiGo operates, your baggage will be checked all the way through, and you won’t have to pay IndiGo’s baggage fees, which can add up quickly for international travel.

No matter if it’s technically allowed to bring your own wine on a cruise, they’ll hit you with a corkage fee that’s so steep it cancels out any savings.
The smart move is to get a big bottle of cheap, clear mouthwash, carefully take off the security wrap, empty it out, and rinse the bottle well.
Then, pick your favorite clear alcohol like vodka, gin, rum, or Everclear.
Fill up the bottle with your booze of choice, seal it back up, and secure it discreetly with clear tape.
Put it in your suitcase in a big ziplock bag just in case it leaks.
I can personally vouch that this trick works.
Then, you can mix your own drinks in your room and have a good time

If you redeem airline miles directly from the airline, you won’t earn any additional miles.
For example, if you used United miles to purchase a United award ticket, then NO you don’t earn any more miles on that ticket.
If you use credit card points like Chase or Capital One and purchase an award ticket via their travel portal, then you should earn miles for those tickets.
If you transferred your Chase or Capital One points to the airline and then redeemed the miles for an award ticket, you wouldn’t get any additional miles.

I spent a week in Egypt between Christmas and New Year’s in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor.
Never felt unsafe.

However, I would recommend considering which benefits of the Chase Sapphire Reserve you actually utilize and whether it’s worth paying the annual fee to keep both cards.

Delta is not a UR partner.
You can’t transfer directly but can use Flying Blue or Virgin to book partner awards on Delta.

MemberFebruary 25, 2024 at 3:59 pm in reply to: How To Book Singapore First Class With Partner Miles?I just booked JFK to Bali with a Singapore stopover using Chase points I had transferred to KrisFlyer.
It was the best business class redemption that I could get, especially without lots of stops.
If you do Singapore Air with a layover in Frankfurt there is the option for 1st class, but 1st isn’t offered unless you pass through Frankfurt or at least that is my understanding.

Not necessarily the best but I use the Osprey Farpoint 40L.
It’s been great for me.
Use it for trips that are 1 week + often.
Interested to see what everyone else uses!

I often get emails for a $150 sign up bonus.
Might be targeted though.

No that is cutting it close.
Look up what United flight you’d prefer then call in.
They’ll move you for free since they changed the schedule.
