ExpressVPN worked for me when we were there.
I also had a ‘Nomad’ eSIM which worked great in all provinces we visited.

From what I have heard, it seems like you can get free gas at Dollar Car Rental and free EV charging with Hertz.
It’s still unclear if they’ll make you book a “special rate for Magenta members” that includes these costs.

Both Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve are great cards but it really depends on how much you use the benefits of the CSR like Priority Pass, because it has the higher annual fee.
If you just want to transfer points, then CSP is better because it has the lower annual fee.
But again it just depends on your personal situation.

We’ve been to Thailand 4 times and have flown Bangkok Airways for domestic for several flights during those trips.
Great airline and honestly we’ve never had any cancellation issues.
Some minor delays are all.
Also, as I understand it, their flights actually get more expensive the closer you get to the trip date, so booking in advance is typically the best rate.
We haven’t had to deal with rescheduling so I can’t help you there.
They tend to be more expensive than AirAsia and a couple other budget airlines, but I think their baggage allowance is slightly better.
We just used them this month and had another good experience.

For me, it really depends on how long I want to fly.
I live on the North West Coast of the US so I tend to stick to Cabo or Puerto Vallarta because I can leave at 6 am & be at the hotel in Mexico in the early afternoon.
I had a great experience at the RIU in Cabo San Lucas pre-pandemic and am going to the RIU Vallarta this June.
They are pretty inexpensive & provide a good level of service.
We have stayed at the mid-level ones because I don’t really need luxury.

I loved the other lounge but it was annoying to leave early to leave time to go through immigration to get to the gate for international.
Nice that this one is past immigration!

Green Motion was terrible.
They don’t accept all insurances.

ORD doesn’t have a Chase Reserve Lounge, AMEX Centurion Lounge, and no Capital One Lounge.
There is 1 Priority Pass but it is in the International Terminal 5.

Nope, no miles for award tickets and no elite qualifying miles.
Even some regular revenue tickets like Basic Economy don’t earn miles anymore.
Almost all programs now award miles based on how much you paid.
I just flew on BA from BER-LHR-ORD roundtrip for $400 and earned JUST 400 miles for a flight that was almost 4,500 miles flown roundtrip.

American Express currently has an offer for $250 if you open a free checking account and make a direct deposit.
You earn 1 membership reward point for every $2 spent with the debit card.
It at least has some value for transactions where vendors charge a big fee for credit cards but no fee for debit cards.

To me, the Sapphire is a better card because it has much better transfer partners with Ultimate Rewards.
