I had good luck with LetsVPN on China this past April.
I had Astrill VPN as a backup but it was SLOOOW.
Make sure you have a western cell phone plan or eSIM – what you use through these services are not blocked.
As an added backup (because I was working while in China), I used a Remote Desktop app to access my US computer to actually work.
The Wifi in the hotels was very slow, and using Remote Desktop while clunky was actually a better and faster experience.
Hope that helps.

Might need to search for bigger airports in Thailand, either BKK or DMK and then fly to Chiang Mai.
Or look at SIN, HKG, KUL, as those are hubs.
-
Check the Google reviews for their airport rental locations.
Many times, they purposely put low ball prices to get online bookings and then when you arrive at the airport to get the car, they throw on tons of hidden fees or keep your deposit (notorious in Spain).
I had a similar issue in Bulgaria where there were keep options but shady tactics, so I ended up paying more to rent with Sixt but didn’t have to worry about any hidden fees.

There are only 2 Delta Sky Clubs at LAX, located in Terminal 2 Mezzanine or Terminal 3 Sky Way.
There is also a Korean Airlines Lounge you can use in Terminal B South Side Wing – on 4th floor.
Your lounge access depends on where you are flying and what type of ticket you are flying on.
Here is a link for all Sky Team lounges at LAX and HND.

Currently, you can only use Bilt to pay your rent.

I stayed at the Magna Pars l’Hotel à Parfum in Milan and it was great.
It was an old perfume factory so very unique.
I think it is part of one of the big hotel programs, so you can redeem points there.
Either Hyatt or Marriott but I don’t remember.

Might be cheaper to get an Airbnb unless you are using Hyatt points.
As for locations, any hotel in Loop, Michigan Avenue, River North, or Gold Coast will be great.
Lincoln Park / Lakeview is more neighborhoody but also nice.
If you stay near the El train (Blue, Red, Brown lines), you will be able to get around super easy.
Otherwise super easy to walk or bus.

Connect your Avios account to your Qatar account, then transfer the Avios points.
This isn’t the only method for booking, though.

You’d require Turkish or United points for that.
You can’t transfer points between programs so whatever each airline displays, that is the availability they have access to.

Stay in the 6ème near Rue du Bac.
Hop on bus 69 to Rue Cler, stroll the market street, and build a fantastic picnic for lunch, stopping at the fromagerie, produce markets, and trattorie.
Walk to the Champs de Mars and eat your picnic with a view of the Eiffel Tower, or stroll the few blocks to the Seine for a riverside picnic.
If you like art, spend the afternoon in Musée d’Orsay (don’t miss the impressionists), then walk back to the 6ème and have dinner at Cafe Varenne.
If you’re not completely jet lagged at this point, hop back on bus 69 going towards the Eiffel Tower and watch it sparkle on the hour every hour after dark, or just grab a drink at Les Ambassades on Rue du Bac and enjoy the Parisian people-watching.
Enjoy your stop in the best city on earth!

We’re also planning to stop by Encinitas and La Jolla on the way down.
Is Ocean Beach (OB) still worth checking out?
It’s been 15 years since I’ve been to San Diego, so I’m a bit out of the loop!
