There are lots of miles and points options in Bangkok but also local hotels are pretty cheap and quite nice, so might be better to save your points for a more expensive destination.
Can see Bangkok TripAdvisor for hotel recommendations.

Most credit cards you read on blogs are ONLY for USA people.
From a Central European viewpoint, I can confirm that the Citi Premier Miles card is accessible in Poland, allows you to swap points or miles for plane tickets.
In the Nordic countries, consider looking into the Norwegian bank card or the SAS EuroBonus cards, which are linked to Norwegian Air and SAS loyalty programs, respectively.
Additionally, I recommend checking out the Miles & More website’s credit card section to see which cards are available by country.
This Star Alliance airlines program is quite beneficial, with monthly mile deals.
Hope that helps!

It opened in January and costs around $600 to $1,000 per night.
It is a category C property, meaning it costs 21,000 to 29,000 points per night.
I think it is a great value.

There was lots of space.

A 2.5% fee?
I believe it’s much better to use a business credit card for your rent payments, especially while working on a sign-up bonus

Ideally, an email from your husband’s account to the hotel would increase the chances of everything going smoothly.
The FNC doesn’t matter in this situation unless you were trying to use it without him.

If you’re transferring to Qatar Avios, there’s no going back.
Once you transfer, it’s done—they are in your Qatar account.
If you cancel a booking, the points will stay in your Qatar account.
I believe they expire in 2 years, but making a small transfer can extend the expiration date.
I’ve had 80,000 Avios in my Qatar account for a year now due to a canceled booking.

Did you find the Priority Pass worth it over the past year?
Did you encounter any difficulties accessing their lounges?

Of these, I’ve only stayed at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, but I recommend it without reservation (no pun intended!).
We booked on points and as a Globalist got upgraded to a huge suite that had the added delight of being able to see Mt Fuji from our living room window on clear mornings.
Phenomenal lounge with a myriad of food and beverage offerings;
you could easily have a satisfying dinner in the lounge.
Steps to the subway and an easy walk to the embassy area.
The hotel also has a very high-end jazz club where it was fun to listen to the music while sipping a fine whisky and watching the wealthy local men trying to outdo each other with their trophy “dates”.

I’m a fan of the Tripped backpack because it folds into its own pocket.
It’s a great daypack to stow in a larger backpack, but I’ve also used it as my sole travel bag for a 5-day trip without any issues.
It’s inexpensive and even cheaper now compared to when I purchased mine (along with two others as gifts)

MemberFebruary 10, 2024 at 11:54 am in reply to: How To Use Miles To Fly From East Coast To Europe? You have enough points to basically fly any carrier in economy, although June is peak season so it will be hard to find something.
NYC airports probably have the best availability.
Use Points.Me to search for award space and then transfer the points.
Feel free to ask here if you need any help.

Get it back after you file.
You can pre-pay any amount to federal tax.
Go to the IRS site for info.
You will have to go through one of several services to do so.
They will charge something like 1-2% so this is usually only worthwhile if looking for the sign up bonus.
When you file your fed taxes you will have overpaid and get the refund.
The good thing is that the refund comes back to you directly and is not credited to the card you used.
At least that was the way it worked a couple of years ago.

Tiles Trackers have rarely worked for us.
AirTags have worked well and helped us retrieve a missing bag.
Might have something to do with the massive Apple network.
You can actually use AirTags if you have Android, you just need an iPhone to set it up the first time and then after that you can just log onto their website and track it.
