Quality depends on the aircraft.
The new A350-1000 and A330neo are nice.

Norse is the re-brand of Norwegian Airlines.
They charge you for everything but the most important thing is that they fly 787 planes, which are actually quite nice.
I have flown Norwegian many times and it was the same as flying United, AA, or Delta, if not better.

Also if charged on the first of the month, the points are usually higher.

Capital One, Discover, and Chase all have student cards.
Get a no annual fee card because you can keep that open forever and build credit history.
For checking account, Chime is great. It is free!

I’d figure you’d have about 3 hours of active time in the city from that.
Better to find things nearer to the airport IMO but you could go to actual Paris.

It seems like you’re comparing between Venture X and Preferred?
I’d take a look at transfer partners and go from there.
Both have pretty tight personal card restrictions (2 personals on C1 and 5/24 on Chase).
I have both cards.
I applied for Venture X first and then CSP shortly after.
I like how straightforward the transfer partners are for Chase, but I use Capital One a lot more – 2X flat of everything and I use Turkish Airlines A LOT to fly between Hawaii and Texas (7,500 miles one way).
Award availability is hard to find to be honest, but pretty worth it.
To Europe, I think I’d choose to transfer to Virgin Atlantic – which both Chase and Capital One transfer to.

We just returned from Lake Como area and I wouldn’t go to Como (didn’t like it).
Take the train to Varenna, spend part of the day there’s then ferry to Bellagio for the rest of the day.
Bellagio was so gorgeous and a great walking tour there.
Look into it.

Finding good redemption values on flight is kinda the *art* of the points and miles game.
There’s no one way- it takes some practice and lots of random searching to get good at.
You can use some paid services to help if you don’t have time to learn it though.

I think I saw Apple at 10% back this weekend but it’s just 2% now.
Even a 2,000 purchase would give you an additional 4k Amex points, but I’d keep an eye out for an elevated offer.

Yes you can use United travel funds for pet tickets.
Not positive if you can do it online, but I have done it on the phone before.

I did this for my Mother-In-Law just the other week.
Just make the booking in your name and call the hotel to add them as a guest and say they are checking in before you.
They should get the elite status benefits since it is under your name and account.

I would use the Amex Platinum to get into the SFO Centurion if by myself.
