You can’t transfer Ultimate Rewards points directly to TAP but you can see if they have availability via United or Aeroplan.

You can also use Chase Travel Portal to redeem your UR for a revenue flight.

Many airlines partner with Allianz for travel insurance.

I had an experience with them in Thailand.

Like all insurance companies, they required some effort to get compensation, but they eventually paid for the surgery.

While I didn’t feel fully compensated, they did cover the expenses.

There are other insurance companies available, but I haven’t personally tried them.

I think I have the REI Co-op Ruckpack 40 Recycled Pack – Women’s – it has a calm shell opening, and compression traps.

The straps are cut for women and are way more comfortable….whatever you get try it on!!!

Getting the women’s with straps custom for a female build is a game changer.

If you have Capital One, you can use the Points Eraser to get a statement credit.

    I would get it.

Ours covered some lost nights at our AirBnb when our flight was delayed 2 days and covered some other delay-related expenses.

    Totally worth it.

You can earn AA miles via a free Bask Bank checking account.

    2.5 miles per $1 per a year.

I’ve earned over 200,000 miles this year!

No, according to the AMEX Centurion website, Newark EWR does NOT have an AMEX Centurion lounge.

    Only JFK and LGA do.

Yes, that is enough time to connect at Schipol.

Just did this three weeks ago (SFO-AMS-FLR) with a 50 minute connection.

  • Balances going up + intensive credit seeking (3rd new card in 6 months) = bank could easily perceive risk, so yeah.

Personally, I wouldn’t carpet bomb a bank with apps if I was planning on carrying balances with them, but if you don’t ask the answer is going to be “no”.

I think the damage from a failed hard pull is pretty minimal (I had two from Chase this year when I heard they were approving exceptions to 5/24, I still got an Ink when I slid under this fall.)

It can be a good deal if you live in a Frontier hub and have lots of travel planned.

The restrictions make it a bit difficult to judge if it is worth it since Frontier tickets are normally so cheap.

    Most European carriers have a small personal item size limit, like 12 x 16 x 6 or 16 x 8 x 10 inches or smaller.

I don’t know of any spinners that small.

You submit your stuff for reimbursement after the fact.

For what it’s worth, I’ve done something similar (Uber to another area and hotel to catch another flight) and it was covered.

I would get a starter card from either Chase or Capital One, more so Chase, because those issuers have good rewards cards that are valuable down the line so the card will still be viable long term because you can product change it into a better card.

Discover is popular for people with little to no credit history, but I’d go with either Chase or Capital One over Discover because with Discover It kind of stops with that card as you get further down the rewards card rabbit hole.

Chase has both a Student Freedom card and a starter card called the Freedom Rise which both earn UR points.

Chances of approval for the Rise increase if you open a checking account with them with at least $250.

Capital One has a selection of both student and starter credit cards and even a secured credit card as options.
