In business class, you can choose your seat for free, but in economy class, you have to pay for seat selection.
If someone else booked your ticket, they should be the ones charging for seat selection, so if it’s possible, it should be done through the airline company.

Basically they give you perks and discounts that you can also get elsewhere like entry-level hotel status (which you can get from a hotel credit card), and software discounts (which you can get if you have a free business bank account from Mercury).
Founders Card does have free airline status for Cathay and Virgin Flying Club, which you could parlay into a status match for a US airline.
But for $700 sign up fee, it would probably be better to just get an AMEX Platinum, at least you’d get lounge access and earn miles.

You can’t bring your own drinks on MSC cruises, which is different from Carnival.
Carnival allows one bottle of wine and one 12-pack of soda per person.
Sneaking alcohol on board is doable once the cruise begins, especially on port days.
You can replace water bottles with clear booze, then put it back in or I bought these Shampoo Bottle flasks from Amazon and they work great to sneak alcohol onboard.
On MSC, you’ll need to buy the soda package or cans of soda, or stick to tea/lemonade for mixing.
Bringing a Yeti cup or tumbler is a good idea for making your drinks.

There are several great types of luggage out there but always look for a good warranty.

Do you want hard sided, soft sided, rolling duffle?
I really like them both.
They have great warranties if anything happens.
I also really like a good compression on the inside.

Hilton Garden Inn and Aerotel are closest and pretty much within walking distance/inter-terminal airport transportation ride.
Hilton is next to Terminal 2 and Aerotel is attached to Terminal 3.
