I’d probably stay in Quartier Latin.

Easy transfer from the airport with RER B to Saint-Michel or to Luxembourg.

It’s close to a lot of things/places worth visiting, yet feels very Parisian should you just want to stroll around and take it easy.

Green Motion was an absolute disaster don’t rent from them!

Prices may seem cheaper initially but almost everyone has pretty bad experiences with them that end up costing more than the mainstream car rentals!

We did it online and were glad we did.

We skipped the long line at the airport with everyone else who was applying on arrival, and went straight to the customs agent.

If you don’t have car rental elite status then use AutoSlash.

Costco Travel is a close 2nd if you have a membership.

For their premium cards, yes AMEX automatically expedites them but for others call in to ask.

    I’ve tried all of them.

Seats.aero is way faster to search with, and easier to search broadly, but is way more limited in which routes it indexes.

If you’re looking for something more specific/off the beaten path, point.me probably is better.

If you just want to go somewhere and are happy with big cities, seats.aero might be the thing.

If you are a family with children under age 10 then I’d recommend Riu Dunamar.

    TSA PreCheck and Clear.

Both can be free if you have a credit card!

    Also extra electronic chargers.

I have a bag with a phone and watch charger that I only use when I travel.

January 7, 2024 at 5:30 pm in reply to: Which Alaska Cruises Can You Book On Points Or Miles?

We’ve done 6 Alaska cruises in the past few years and several of them have been booked on points.

We’ve tried a different cruise line each time.

My favorite was definitely Norwegian Encore, which does go into Glacier Bay.

It’s really all personal preference on what type of ship you enjoy but for me the newer Norwegian ships are my favorite.

The food is always amazing and the shows are outstanding.

I am in my mid-50s but I do still enjoy the race track and Laser Tag and even the galaxy pavilion.

I’m always traveling with my young 20s kids and want to do all the things they like to do while I still can.

Keep in mind that the excursions and flights can be quite expensive on an Alaska cruise so if I can get the cruise fare on points I feel I can justify spending more on the other stuff.

Definitely don’t skimp on the excursions especially since Alaska might be a one-and-done and you want to see and do everything!

You will have immigration/passport control within the terminal as you will be flying in from a Schengen flight and transiting to international.

No customs though and your bags should be checked all the way through.

You’ll likely have to take an airside bus to the international part of terminal 2.

The catch is it’s gonna be “163,00 miles plus a whole lotta cash for carrier surcharge”, but Emirates First Class is pretty much always better than Qatar Business as far as the experience goes.

That’s like asking which is better, apples or oranges?

One is not better than the other, they are just different.

However due to Chase application rules, many people suggest beginning with Chase.

When my husband passed, I was able to have his airline miles transferred to my airline accounts by supplying a death certificate and filling out a form.

    Same with Hilton Honors points.

I’ve never had issues with Points.Yeah and use it frequently.

I know they’ve been adding new features so maybe a glitch?

Been to all the Rius Resorts in Mexico.

For the money, they were okay.

Now that I have more disposable income & older, Live Aqua Cancun is the place.

Love all the food carts around the pool, Starbucks to grab a coffee or sandwich, the Sushi bar @ 4:00 ,and the restaurants.

    Food & service were great.

Can’t wait to go back in March.
