What currency are you converting?
You will get the best rate from an ATM typically.
Just make sure your bank doesn’t charge any forex fees.
You can also calculate how much you are getting ripped off by checking the airport rate vs the Google rate.
Honestly, most forex places don’t rip you off that much, maybe like 5%.

Love points.yeah’s free tool search for award flights.
I was able to grab numerous business flights recently ranging from .02cpp to .05cpp!
It’s kind of addicting, to transfer points and get real value on flights that would normally cost $3k+.
One thing I wish points.yeah had on the free version is the parameter to allow to search for “max flight duration” while creating an alert, like you can when filtering regular results.
Is it currently there and I’m not seeing it?
Regardless, the tool is awesome as is, and I’m very grateful to have free access.

Is the free stay from the vacation club presentation valid at any Secrets Resorts?
Is there a pamphlet or website with more details?
I’m staying in January and would definitely sit through the presentation for that.

If you have Chase Freedom or Chase INK card, there are rotating categories that get you 5% off at Costco, Sams Club, or Staples, and those shops typically sell Airbnb gift cards for a discount.
If the card has 5x points in those rotating categories, then you can save some money at Airbnb.

Air Dolomiti is one of the operating airlines for Lufthansa’s regional flights.
This is similar SkyWest here in the US that operates regional flights for airlines like Delta, United, AA and Alaska.
The flight number will be LH (Lufthansa).
I flew them from Innsbruck to Munich and they were late!
I had a 2 hour connection in Munich and almost missed my flight.

The sushi they make right there is really good.
And I think you can use the credit you get with the Aspire card at the resort (if you have it).

Also…I assume you’re flying in Turkish Airlines Business Class.
Because the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul is amazing!

Sure, it functions multiple times a day in the same airport.
That’s why we can’t enjoy nice things.

The best option would likely be booking through Iberia, British Airways, or Qatar Airways.
If those avenues aren’t available, then I believe the only remaining option would be the Chase travel portal.

My experiences with Qatar Airways have always been excellent.
I have only tried Etihad’s business class, and while it was okay, they canceled my return flight from Thailand, so it wasn’t as good as Qatar Airways, where I have never experienced any changes that drastically affected me.
The business class product itself, although not consistent due to a variety of seats across aircraft, tends to be very comfortable.
The hub is busy but easy enough to navigate and is definitely better (for me) than Dubai airport.
Abu Dhabi, after its revamp, is now a better airport than Doha, but Doha is bigger.
Overall, if I had all three options in front of me for business class, I would choose Qatar Airways if I could ensure a proper business layout.

I have the Peak Design 45L and I love it.
It’s a pricey bag but it’s worked beautifully for me in Japan, the PNW, and Central Europe.
It fits in the overhead no problem, and I have smushed it under the seat in front of me.
It sticks out a little under the seat but ok.
I don’t see it qualifying as a personal item free bag on some international budget carriers, but it’s good on regular US domestic flights.

There are Premier Inn T4, Holiday Inn Express T4, and Ibis hotels all well-priced with shuttles.
I’ve stayed at all three and never had any problems.

45 mins is doable in SFO, tight, it’s possible.
But as others stated above, call and request an earlier flight because of schedule change.

Considering there are limited nonstop options between those airports (I believe only Hawaiian).
Given the necessity of a stopover anyway, I would suggest exploring alternative partner options to fly with airlines other than American.
For example, here is a Delta flight that can be booked through Flying Blue.
