I highly recommend staying at a hotel in Khaosan or Soi Rambuttri.
You can find excellent hotels for $20-30 with private rooms, a bathroom, and AC.
Plus, you’ll be super close to all the attractions and nightlife.

Visit each credit rating agency’s website and choose the option to freeze your credit.
It only takes a few minutes, and there’s no charge.
If you plan to apply for a Chase credit card later on, you’ll have to unfreeze your credit with them.
For credit cards from other banks, you’ll need to unfreeze your credit with all three agencies for a short period of time.

I opted for Hertz because of the free collision damage waiver with my Amex Platinum card.
The rates are pretty good at the moment.
There are lots of opportunities to accidentally damage a bumper around here, and watch out for flying golf balls.
A car parked next to mine at the hotel got hit right in the middle of the hood.
It’s not worth risking damage just to save a few bucks.

No, you can’t transfer Ultimate Rewards to WestJet directly but you can transfer to Flying Blue and then redeem for WestJet flights.
Make sure there is availability before you transfer!
You can also transfer Chase points to Air Canada Aeroplan too.

I literally just transferred points from P2 to my CSP.
I’ve had it set up for quite some time though.
Is it a new rule for cardholders who haven’t set it up before that they must call in?
Because clearly, it is possible I just did it.

You can redeem Chase / Amex / Cap One etc. points for cash stays at Four Seasons through their respective travel portals.
They don’t need a loyalty program because their value proposition is not targeted towards people like us.
If you have to ask how much Four Seasons costs, then it probably isn’t for you.

Most practical: car service, like Carmel.
Taxis and rideshares like Lyft also an option.
It also depends on your timetable.
You could probably take public transit from JFK into the city and then at Penn Station, grab a NJ Transit train to Newark.
There are 2 Newark stops on NJ Transit, and one of them is directly connected to Newark Airport’s sky train system.

As long as it isn’t a prescription, it should be fine putting them all in the same bag.
I also take lots of vitamins and put them in 1 bag and traveled all around Asia without issue.
The worst case is that if you get stopped, you say they are vitamins.
If they don’t believe you, they can test them.

I’d recommend the Barcelo in Riviera Maya.
There are several restaurants on the property and they are ALL good.
We went with one of the more expensive but that is because we wanted access to eat at all of them.
Food is excellent and meets a lot of dietary needs.
Can be made fresh.
I’m an athlete so the gym was really nice and they have a lap pool.
We have gone at least 5 times.
One year we stayed at the adults only and we actually spent more time with the families.
It was more entertaining.

We flew Virgin upper class recently and enjoyed it – its business class.
It is lay flat the layout we had was that strange one with 3 rows of seats where people’s backs are to the window, it’s not private it’s very open.
Is your flight nonstop to CDG or do you stop at LHR?
The Virgin upper class departure lounge, arrivals lounge and private check in area at LHR made flying Virgin upper class well worth it.
